Klerksdorp, North West – Tuesday, 22 July 2025 —
The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Klerksdorp is urgently appealing to the public for assistance in locating two missing men, Christiaan van Blerk (34) and Donovan van der Walt (25), who were last seen on the morning of Monday, 14 July 2025. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance have sparked growing concern within the community.
According to SAPS reports, the 2 men were last seen at work at Afrikaner Plot on Wessel Street in Meirings Park, Klerksdorp. They left in a white Toyota Hilux Raider bakkie (registration number KWF254NW) to collect spare parts in Klerksdorp Industria, but never returned. Since then, no contact has been made with the 2 men, and all leads pursued by investigators have unfortunately led nowhere.

Description of the Missing 2 Men:

- Christiaan van Blerk (34):
- Slender build
- Long brown hair, brown eyes
- Height: approximately 1.8m
- Scar on the right cheek
- Tattoo of a cross on the upper arm
- Horseshoe tattoo on the upper leg
- Donovan van der Walt (25):
- Slender build
- Brown hair, light blue eyes
- Black moustache and beard (unshaven)
- Height: approximately 1.6m
- Multiple tattoos, including a lion tattoo on his left arm/hand

Investigation Ongoing
Warrant Officer Louis Harmse from Klerksdorp Detectives is leading the investigation. Despite tireless efforts and multiple follow-ups, the police have not yet located the two men or the vehicle they were travelling in.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen the 2 men or the vehicle, or who may know something—no matter how small—to come forward. Any piece of information may be the key to solving this case.
