Seventeen-year-old Bongakonkhe Sthole from Eswatini has been reported missing in Johannesburg after travelling from Manzini to South Africa on Saturday, 5 September 2026. His family says he was last known to be in the area of Wanderers Taxi Rank in Johannesburg.

According to information provided by his mother, he left Manzini in Eswatini on Saturday afternoon at approximately 4pm.

The family says he had intended to travel locally to his father’s home. However, he reportedly boarded a taxi that travelled into South Africa and eventually reached Johannesburg.

Bongakonkhe was reportedly at or near Wanderers Taxi Rank when he became separated from the people who had been assisting him with his journey.

His mother said the family has since been unable to establish his whereabouts.
