Moyeni, Eastern Cape – Police in Moyeni are calling on the public to assist in the search for 76-year-old Mr. Jongile Boqwana, who has been missing since Thursday, 29 August 2024.
Boqwana was last seen leaving his sister’s home in Mpekweni Village, Peddie, on Wednesday, 28 August 2024.
He was reportedly dressed in a brown jacket, brown corduroy pants, a red jersey, and black shoes on the day he disappeared.
Authorities have conducted a preliminary investigation but have yet to find any leads regarding Boqwana’s whereabouts.
The Moyeni SAPS are now urging anyone with information that could assist in locating the elderly man to come forward.

Boqwana’s family is understandably distressed, and the police have assured them that every possible measure is being taken to ensure his safe return. The public’s cooperation could be critical in bringing him home.
