Masisi, Vhembe District — A massive search operation has been launched for Nndawakhulu Munzhelele, a 78-year-old man from Tshipise Tsha Sagole Village who mysteriously disappeared on the evening of Friday, March 7, 2025.
His distraught wife, who attended a local night vigil, returned home the following morning to find Munzhelele missing without a trace. Authorities and concerned community members are now racing against time to locate him.

Nndawakhulu Munzhelele‘s Last Known Appearance
When he was last seen, Munzhelele was wearing:
- Black trousers
- Black shoes
- White jacket
He is described as having short white hair, a dark complexion, and a short stature.
Vhembe Community in Shock and Fear
Residents of Tshipise Tsha Sagole are shaken by his sudden disappearance. As search teams comb through surrounding areas, loved ones are pleading for assistance from anyone who may have seen him. The fear and uncertainty surrounding Munzhelele’s vanishing have left the community on edge.
Authorities Intensify Search Efforts for Nndawakhulu Munzhelele
The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Masisi is spearheading the search with support from local volunteers and search and rescue teams. The urgency of the situation cannot be overstated.
“We are doing everything we can to find him. Time is of the essence, and we urge anyone with information to come forward immediately,” said Warrant Officer Mulalo Muanalo.
