A candlelight memorial service will be held today for Ibanathi IP Peter and Sinothando Malinga, the two young women whose burnt bodies were discovered in Khayelitsha, just outside Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

The two victims, Ibanathi and Sinothando, believed to have been between the ages of 17 and 19, were identified after their bodies were found burned beyond recognition in a bushy area near Fourth Avenue. The discovery shocked the local community, sparking a wave of grief and outrage.
New Shocking Details Emerge
According to updated reports, it is now suspected that Ibanathi and Sinothando were raped before being set alight. This alarming revelation has intensified public anger and calls for justice.
Eastern Cape police have arrested four male suspects in connection with the brutal murders. The suspects are currently in custody and are expected to appear in court soon.
“We can confirm that four unknown male suspects have been arrested. The investigation is ongoing,” said a police spokesperson.
