We are grateful for the overwhelming support shown by the community, especially the faith-based groups, in the search for Nokuthokoza Biyela.
Your efforts and prayers have played a significant role in helping the family during this challenging time.
According to a family member, the breakthrough in finding Nokuthokoza came when authorities tracked her phone, which, although switched off, still allowed access to her Facebook account.
Police traced the activity and the number being used to log in, which led them to a house in the Folweni area.
Upon arriving at the house, officers noticed it was uninhabited. However, after calling out, Nokuthokoza responded and was found inside, alone and in poor condition.
She was still wearing the clothes she had on when she left. It appeared she had been without food for some time, showing signs of malnutrition and weakness.
At this point, the family has not yet had the opportunity to speak with Nokuthokoza in detail to understand what exactly happened.
She is currently in the hospital undergoing medical evaluation to ensure she fully recovers before returning home.
The police are continuing their investigation, and the family requests patience as they seek answers.
Once again, thank you for your support, Mzansi.
