Disappearance Sparks Concern as 22-Year-Old Noluthando Mdluli From KZN Goes Silent After Sending Final WhatsApp Message
Police in Bloemfontein are appealing to the public to assist in locating 22-year-old Noluthando Mdluli, who has mysteriously disappeared under worrying circumstances after arriving in the city late Thursday night.
Originally from KZN, Noluthando was last in contact with a friend on Thursday, 24 July 2025. In a WhatsApp message sent at 21:43, she confirmed she had just arrived at the Majakathata taxi rank in Bloemfontein. Just 15 minutes later, she sent another update, saying she had found a cab. At 22:03, she sent what would become her final known communication. Since then, all contact has ceased, and her whereabouts remain unknown.
The disappearance has raised serious concerns, especially given the sudden silence and her last known location being a high-traffic transit point late at night.

Bloemfontein Police Search Yields No Results So Far
In response to the missing person report, the Client Service Centre and a standby officer were dispatched to investigate. Officers visited the Majakathata taxi rank and conducted preliminary inquiries, but their efforts did not lead to any sightings or clues as to what may have happened to the young woman.
Noluthando Mdluli from KZN was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue denim jacket, and a black long-sleeved T-shirt underneath. There is currently no information regarding the identity of the cab driver she mentioned or the direction she may have headed.
Authorities Appeal for Information
The South African Police Service is urging the public, especially anyone who may have been in or around the Majakathata taxi rank that evening, to come forward with any information that could assist in locating the young lady from KZN.
