PIETERMARITZBURG – A 13-year-old boy, Mpatho Memela, has been reported missing in Caluza, Pietermaritzburg.
The young boy was last seen on the evening of 18 August 2024, following a disagreement with his grandmother.
According to the family, Mpatho locked the gate at their home around 7 PM, as he usually does, and went back inside the house.

Shortly after, there was an altercation between him and his grandmother regarding money. The argument escalated, and Mpatho abruptly left the house. He has not been seen since.
The family is deeply concerned about his safety and is appealing to the public for any information that could lead to his whereabouts.
Mpatho Memela is described as a responsible child, making his sudden disappearance even more alarming.
