A tragic end has rocked the community of Ulundi and surrounding areas as Linamandla Mngomezulu, the 24-year-old man who was reported missing after leaving Ulundi for Durban, has been found deceased.
The heartbreaking discovery comes after a day of desperate searching by family, friends, and authorities. Linamandla was last seen on his way to Durban in a white Toyota pick-up bakkie, which was also reported missing. His final phone location placed him near Stanger in KwaZulu-Natal, sparking fears of foul play.
Family Confirms Heartbreaking News

In a solemn public statement issued on 1 July 2025, the Mngomezulu and Ngcobo families confirmed the devastating news that Linamandla had been found dead. They expressed their gratitude to the public, SAPS, and everyone who played a role in trying to bring him home.
“It is with great sadness that we announce that Linamandla Mngomezulu has been found deceased. Our thoughts and prayers go out to family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.”

🚔 Shocking Twist: Vehicle Found in Inanda, Body Discovered in Ulundi
In a follow-up statement, Cwakeme Group, where Linamandla worked, confirmed that both the missing person and the vehicle had been located – but not in the same place.
“The vehicle was recovered in Inanda, while our colleague was found in Ulundi,” the company said.
This shocking revelation has left many asking urgent questions:
