Motherwell, Eastern Cape – A 12-year-old girl, Lithaliyanda Ntoni, has been reported missing after she failed to return home from a nearby shop in NU10, Motherwell, on Monday, 24 June 2025. Her sudden disappearance has left her family and the local community deeply concerned, as police investigations intensify.

According to reports, Lithaliyanda left her family home on Luzipho Street at around 16:45 to buy something from a local shop. That was the last time anyone saw her. She never made it back home.
At the time of her disappearance, the young girl was wearing grey tracksuit pants and a purple jersey.
Family and Police Plead for Public Assistance
The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Motherwell has confirmed that a missing person’s case has been opened. Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Lithaliyanda or has information about her whereabouts to come forward.
“We are appealing to members of the public to assist us in locating this child. Any piece of information, no matter how small, could help us bring her home safely,” said Detective Constable Msuthukazi Nkwenkwezi, who is leading the investigation.
