A Family’s Hope Grows Stronger Amid Silence
The search continues for 35-year-old Shernaaz Sayed, a woman from Actionville, Benoni, who has been missing since 2 July 2025. Despite ongoing efforts by her family, local police, and the organisation One Force SA, Shernaaz’s whereabouts remain unknown, leaving loved ones desperate for answers and holding on to faith.
According to reports, Shernaaz was last seen in Dunswart, Boksburg, wearing a red T-shirt, a maroon jacket, black jeans, and black sneakers, with a black scarf around her head. She has brown eyes and black hair, and her loved ones describe her as kind-hearted and always smiling.

A Disappearance That Shook a Community
Terri Anne, a close family friend who has been part of the search, said the community is struggling to come to terms with Shernaaz’s sudden disappearance.
“It’s been months now, and every day feels longer than the last,” she said. “We’re not giving up. Shernaaz is deeply loved, and someone, somewhere, must have seen something.”
The South African Police Service (SAPS) confirmed that a missing person case was opened at Actionville Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing. Detective Nkambule, who is leading the case, urged the public to come forward with any possible leads.
“Even the smallest piece of information can help,” Nkambule said. “If anyone saw Shernaaz or remembers something unusual around early July in Dunswart or surrounding areas, please contact us immediately.”
