The family of Mojalefa Isack Khanye, a Sun City Correctional Service employee, has sadly confirmed his passing to Missing Person South Africa (MPSA) following a harrowing hijacking and kidnapping incident earlier this month.
Khanye went missing on 4th September 2024, sparking widespread concern across Gauteng.

His car, a Mercedes with registration number KM72BHGP, was found stripped in a forest near Orange Farm, in the south of Johannesburg, just days after his disappearance.

Despite an intensive search, Mojalefa was later discovered alive at a hospital where he was admitted to the ICU for treatment.
Tragically, his condition worsened, and the family confirmed this morning that Mojalefa Khanye has passed away. The devastating news has shocked the community, who had been hoping for his recovery.
The family has requested privacy as they mourn their loss but expressed gratitude to everyone who supported them during the search.
They are also calling for anyone with information about the incident, especially details leading to the culprits behind the hijacking and stripping of Mojalefa’s car, to come forward.
