Nigerian Tourist Joseph Jeremiah Missing in Cape Town: Family Pleads for Assistance

A 25-year-old Nigerian tourist, Joseph Jeremiah, has gone missing in Cape Town, South Africa, under worrying circumstances.

Originally from Ondo State in Nigeria, Joseph was on a vacation visa when he disappeared on Thursday, the 16th of this month.

His family, who remain in Nigeria, are struggling to locate him and are calling for urgent help from South Africans and the Nigerian community in Cape Town to file a police report and assist in the search.

Joseph’s Last Known Location

Joseph was last seen near the Ethiopian Airlines office in Cape Town. Unfortunately, his family does not know what he was wearing on the day of his disappearance.

Mental Health Concerns on Joseph

Adding to the family’s distress, Joseph had shared alarming concerns before his disappearance.

In his last conversation with relatives, he claimed that someone was “after his life.” The family is unsure how true these claims are but fears that he may be struggling with mental health issues.

“He told us someone was after him, but we don’t know if it’s real or part of something bigger. We are very worried about him, especially being so far from home,” a family member said.

Family Faces Challenges in Filing a Police Report

Joseph’s family in Nigeria has expressed frustration at their inability to file a missing person report in Cape Town. They have yet to find anyone willing to help initiate the process with local authorities, leaving them feeling helpless and isolated in their search.

“We are desperate for someone in Cape Town to help us file a police case. We cannot do it from Nigeria, and time is running out,” the family stated.
