The last known contact was on December 30, 2023, when Khulekani was admitted to Helen Joseph Hospital for medical treatment. However, after being discharged, he mysteriously disappeared, and his family has not seen or heard from him since.

In an emotional Facebook live session, Gasa’s sister shared the ongoing agony of the family’s search. Despite the family’s best efforts, there have been no new leads in the case. They’ve reached out to the South African Police Service (SAPS) and opened a case, but it has yet to yield any results. They have scoured mortuaries, shelters, and local areas where Khulekani might have been seen, but there is still no trace of him.

In the live call, Gasa’s sister revealed that the family has tried everything they can, but now they are relying on the public’s help. With no new information from authorities or hospitals, they are appealing to anyone who might have seen him or knows something about his whereabouts to come forward. “We have checked everywhere, and now we need the community’s help more than ever,” she said.
