In Caltonville, fear and uncertainty now haunt the streets after 17-year-old Tshepiso Moeketsi disappeared on Friday March 28th. What started as a seemingly normal day has now spiraled into a parent’s worst nightmare.
Locked Gate, Unlocked Door – A Disturbing Clue
When Tshepiso’s parents returned from Work, what they found raised even more questions.
“The security gate was locked… but the door wasn’t,” her mother explained.
“And her house key… it was thrown on the floor inside.”
It was a chilling discovery. It seemed as if she left in a rush—or wasn’t the one who locked up at all.
📞 The Last Call: A Phone That Rang… Then Went Silent
According to her devastated mother, the family had just moved to Caltonville a week before Tshepiso vanished. They had arranged for her to stay with her older sister in Westonaria since her parents were traveling to Cape Town with a delivery.
“We thought she went to her sister like we had planned,” her mother told Missing Person South Africa.
“But when her sister called asking where she was, we knew something was wrong.”
In a frantic effort to reach her, the mother called Tshepiso’s phone.
“At first it rang, then no answer… later it was off.”
🚨 Police Investigate Boyfriend – No Answers Yet
Police say they visited Tshepiso’s boyfriend, but he denied seeing her on that day.
The family is now left with more questions than answers, and Case Number 03/94/2025 has been officially opened.
Despite efforts from the local authorities, Tshepiso remains missing. Some of her clothes and shoes were gone from the house, which initially led her parents to believe she had gone to her sister’s. No one knows what she was wearing when she disappeared.
